/ Overview

This course addresses a gap that many educators identify: they can use AI tools, but they do not fully understand the data that powers them or the data those tools produce.

Over three weeks, participants build practical data literacy skills. Week one covers reading and interpreting data outputs from common AI tools (assessment analytics, learning platform dashboards, predictive indicators). Week two introduces the fundamentals of how AI models are trained, including concepts like training data, bias, and accuracy.

Week three brings everything together with practical exercises in evaluating AI-generated insights critically: knowing when to trust the data, when to question it, and when to set it aside.

The course is designed for educators with no prior data science knowledge and uses education-specific examples throughout.
