AI tool procurement checklist for education

This checklist provides a structured evaluation framework for schools and MATs considering the procurement of AI tools.

The checklist covers five domains: data governance and privacy, evidence of efficacy and impact, accessibility and inclusion, cost and sustainability, and vendor transparency and accountability.

Each domain includes specific questions to ask vendors, red flags to watch for, and minimum standards that tools should meet before procurement.

The checklist is designed to be used alongside the DPIA template and governance framework published by AIE, forming a complete procurement toolkit.
