/ Overview

This 60-minute webinar focuses on the specific ways AI tools can support learners with SEND in mainstream and specialist settings.

The session covers five categories of AI tool: speech-to-text and text-to-speech, text simplification and summarisation, personalised learning pathways, communication aids, and emotional regulation support.

For each category, the facilitators demonstrate leading tools, discuss evidence of effectiveness, and highlight important considerations around accessibility standards, data privacy, and the risk of over-reliance on technology.

The webinar also features contributions from two SENCOs who share their experiences of integrating AI tools into SEND provision, including what has worked, what has not, and the lessons they have learned.
